Metta Convention 2018

  • Metta Convention 2018, the fourth in the series, is planned to be held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, and the chosen theme is “Opening of Hearts”.
  • This Convention will have greater significance as it will be held in the year that Buddhists in Malaysia celebrate the 100th year of its Dhammaduta great, the late Venerable Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Maha Thera.
  • An added significance is that the Convention will be held near the site of the Buddhist Dhammaduta Centre Malaysia, established by the Buddhist Missionary Society of Malaysia (BMSM), in the interfaith enclave in Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Malaysia.
  • Bhante Mahinda, a disciple of the late Venerable Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Maha Thera, is also the Spiritual Advisor of BMSM.
